Special Election Called for Senate
District 15 – A Sibling Showdown
Governor Ron DeSantis has issued an
Executive Order calling for a special
election in Senate District 15, with the
primary scheduled for June 24 and
the general election on September 2.
This election will fill the seat previously
held by Geraldine Thompson. In a
unique twist, the race features a
sibling
rivalry—former
legislator
Randolph Bracy is running against his
sister, LaVon Bracy Davis.
Senate District 15 falls within FOP
District 7.
FOP Lodge 20 Hits the
Capitol in Force
This week, FOP Lodge 20 President Felix Del Rosario led a
strong delegation to Tallahassee, rallying support for key
legislation. Members took to the Capitol halls, working to
whip votes for several important bills:
HB 751 by Representative Sapp
HB 317 by Representative Fabricio
HB 1371 by Representative Nix
In addition to their advocacy efforts, these dedicated
members also hosted a pig roast as part of the
celebrations for Miami-Dade Days, adding some
community spirit to the week’s events.
